　　两对夫妇在同一时间意外预订了同一处度假租赁房产的故事。他们浪漫的周末很快就变成了性、谎言和生存的扭曲迷宫。

　　Recently released ex con Patrick is unable to find a legitimate opportunity to get ahead and stumbles back into a life of crime when unpredictable Dolph, whom he owes for protection while in prison, pays him a visit. They begin a series of cons that involve seducing and kidnapping west LA trophy wives in order to extort money from their wealthy husbands. However, their latest victim Rebecca is not who she seems, threatening to ruin everything just when Patrick's had a change of heart and ready to call it quits.

　　Two detectives seek a stripper's killer in the Japanese quarter of Los Angeles, but a love triangle threatens their friendship.

　　January is forced to return home after six years traveling abroad. A near-fatal accident has left her temporarily wheelchair bound and depleted of her long-term memory. She is accompanied by her boyfriend 'Callum' whom she met whilst traveling. He was also the driver in the fateful accident. Not only has she forgotten her family, but her childhood as well and is surprised to discover that her home is a stately manor in the middle of the country-side. As January tries to settle in, she finds herself becoming even more estranged from her family, who just want their daughter back. The trouble is, she cannot remember who that daughter was, or why she ran away in the first place. Desperate to discover why she left all those years ago and with Callum's help, she sets out to find the truth. They soon discover the family are not as loving as they seem to be. Was there a dark reason why she left them in the first place?

　　因为害怕自己和泰利的奸情败露，西维亚不同意报警，可没过多久，西维亚便惨遭杀害。不仅如此，泰利还成为了这起事件的主要嫌疑人。为了替情人报仇，同时也为了替自己洗清冤屈，泰利找到了事件的受害者丹尼斯（伊丽莎白·麦戈文 Elizabeth McGovern 饰），两人决定联手，将真正的凶手捉拿归案。

　　This early 70's giallo by Umberto Lenzi is certainly among the best in his filmography and also in the whole genre. Personally I think Lenzi's best films are the funny cartoon-turned-film Kriminal, the stylish giallo Seven Blood-Stained Orchids, the explosive Napoli violenta and this. In the eighties he did plenty of film trash in form of Eaten Alive, Hitcher in the Dark or Black Demons, all of which are ripping something off and/or very dull and slow moving. Knife of Ice came when the giallo boom was at its hottest and the result is convincing.
　　Technically the film is superb, containing great cinematography in the beginning when we learn about the main character's trauma towards trains. From this point on, Lenzi shows us his ability to benefit the widescreen and, for example, the bicycle ride near the forest is genuinely beautiful! This scene also shows Lenzi's ability to build suspense, very slowly but meaningfully. After all, there aren't so many murders in the whole film, only the suspense circulating around the murderer's identity.
　　One suspect is a devil worshipper which brings new aspects to the mystery. Since the final scene takes place in a church, one can wonder if Lenzi wanted to comment on something, maybe the hypocritical morale of church and superstition. The main character (Carrol Baker) is mute which demands a lot from her face and eyes. The actress works very well, giving us a believable performance circulating around the emotions of fear and mental pain. The other actors are good, too. The finally, however, may not give too positive a sight about female sex since they all are expressed rather negatively in the film, one way or another. Still this is easily among the most noteworthy in the genre, not as bloody as the Argento films, for example, but equally suspenseful and visually also interesting.

　　卡希蒂（布蕾安娜·伊薇根 Briana Evigan 饰）、艾莉（卢默尔·威利斯 Rumer Willis 饰）、克莱尔（洁米·张 Jamie Chung 饰）、杰西卡（莉娅·派普斯 Leah Pipes 饰）、查格丝（Margo Harshman 饰）和梅根（奥德丽娜·帕特里奇 Audrina Patridge 饰）是某所高校的六个亲密无间的好姐妹，她们组成名为“西塔派”的姐妹联谊会，一起玩耍，同进同退。在庆祝大四新学年的狂欢派对上，姐妹们合伙戏耍了梅根的花心男友加勒特（Matt O'Leary 饰），结果却导致梅根被加勒特无意中杀害。为了掩盖罪行，这五个女孩将好友的尸体丢入废井，制造失踪的假象，并相约谨守这个秘密。
　　转眼8个月过去，少女们即将迎来毕业的时刻。梅根的惨剧让她们的心中渐生离析。与此同时，似乎有一个神秘之人正躲在暗处，伺机夺取她们的生命……

　　音乐人布莱德（罗伊·卡奇恩 Rory Cochrane 饰）和OL妻子莱希（玛丽·麦科马克 Mary McCormack 饰）是一对生活在洛杉矶近郊的夫妇。在一个平凡的早晨，莱希例行前往市中心上班，布莱德却通过电台得知比华利山发生数次爆炸。市中心上空硝烟弥漫，人们四处逃窜，通讯也相继中断，布莱德无法和妻子取得联系。在这个焦急情况下，布莱德不顾危险前去寻找妻子。此时整个城市陷入混乱和瘫痪，犯罪横行，有毒气体弥漫。由于警方戒备森严，布莱德不得不囿居家中，堵住房间的缝隙。打开门便意味着死亡，即使莱希回来他也无济于事，只好坐等生死的审判……
　　本片荣获2006年圣丹斯电影节最佳摄影奖。

　　A24影业将与DirecTV联合发行提奥·詹姆斯新片[与人为恶](Backstabbing for Beginners，暂译)。影片由丹麦导演皮尔·弗莱([长凳])执导，提奥在片中饰演了一位身处战后伊拉克的联合国世界粮食计划署协调员，颇为理想主义的他，不得不与各方势力斡旋。本·金斯利、杰奎琳·比塞特亦有参演本片。
