　　故事发生在一架飞机上，一些性格迥异的人物在数小时内经历了一段不平凡的人生：
　　Joe（林保怡 饰）天生有未卜先知的能力，相信命运非人力所能改变。他为人神经质，每次乘飞机都会坐立不安。一次，飞机起飞后不久，Joe 即预见飞机会爆炸，然而没有人相信他，飞机上的一班乘客把他当作另 类。
　　Ada（邵美琪 饰）是空中小姐，聪明漂亮，相信自己的幸福可以靠自己来经营。另一名空中小姐Kimmy（郭羡妮 饰）看似与Ada姐妹情深，却苦恋Ada。 但是，Ada撞破男友Patrick（唐文龙 饰）与Kimmy的奸情，又遇上劫机事件，这一切叫她对自己的信念有所动摇。

　　We are in the year 2001, a temporary ceasefire brings a much-needed break to a small war-torn village in Northern Nepal, bringing much joy among the residents. Prakash and Kiran, two young close friends, are also starting to feel the change in the air. Though they are divided by caste and social creed, they remain inseparable, and start raising a hen given to Prakash by his sister, with hopes to save money by selling her eggs. However, the hen goes missing. To find it, they embark on a journey, innocently unaware of the tyranny brought by the fragile ceasefire.

　　長崎県でガラス細工の工場を営む亮太。幼い頃に別れた父の工場を受け継ぎ、厳しい状況ながらもなんとかうまくやっている毎日。だがその一方、かつての父と同じように自身も離婚を経験し、子どもたちと会うことが出来ずにいた。定職に就かずブラブラし、虚言癖のある兄・章一の存在も悩みのタネだ。そんなある日、亮太は章一から、街で偶然父の姿を見かけたことを告げられる。信じられずにいる亮太だが、そんな折、現在の妻・友里恵に妊娠を告げられる。「お父さんになる自信、ある？」その一言で、父のいない過去をひきずったままの自分に気付く亮太。亮太は章一を信じ、ともに父を探し始める――。

　　群馬県の遊園地の売店でアルバイトをしている高校3年生の梅田ココアは、学校では成績優秀だが、家庭は貧しい。共に暮らすギャンブル狂の父・シゲルと、元漫才師でニートの兄・トキオの犠牲者だと感じながら生活しているため、自分の将来に希望が見出せないでいる。そんなココアには秘密が。学校とバイトの合間に、あるビデオ「クラッシュビデオ」に出演しているのだ。当初は、兄の元相方・カズオから無理やり頼みこまれて出演していたが、次第に本人も踏み潰す感触に快感を覚えた。あるときココアは、大学に特待生/奨学金という制度があることを知り一念発起して進学を目指すことに。数少ない友人のサクラは大学への進学を希望、もう一人の友人アイコは年上の彼氏と付き合っている中で妊娠が判明。ココアは2人と過ごしていくうちに自らの将来に希望を見出していく。そんな中、クラッシュビデオの出演が学校にバレて――。
