Even though Nica and Rigel are united by a common past of pain and hardship, living together seems impossible, but kindness and anger are two different ways of fighting pain to stay alive and to conceal the emotions that devastate their hearts, becoming for each other that tears-maker of legend. To the maker of tears you cannot lie: and they will have to find the courage to accept that desperate force that attract them towards each other called love.

　　影片改编自真实事件。故事发生在地处偏远的一处法国小镇之上，克里斯蒂安（朱莉·理查德森 Joely Richardson 饰）和莱尔（乔迪·梅 Jodhi May 饰）是情同手足的两姐妹，从小孤苦伶仃相依为命的生活让两人之间接下了深深的感情和羁绊。

　　故事讲述了龙山地区接连发生两桩命案，在社会上引起巨大反响，百姓惶惶不安，警方压力剧增，随即成立“118”大案专案组，正副组长分别由主管刑侦的副局长李辉和刑警队长郭明担任。还有十多天就要退休的李辉，决心在退休前拿下这个案子，给自己从事了一辈子的刑警事业画上一个圆满的句号。但是，两桩看似毫无联系的命案背后，隐藏着一个精心设计的阴谋，案情迷雾重重。新老刑警冰释前嫌联手侦破，最终迷雾消散。
